Trinket boxes- hand painted lustre and dichroic glass
These delightful little boxes are hand painted with lustres,
which, until fired are brown treacle like liquids. I then use raised enamel
and dichroic glass to create the design. The box is fired in a kiln
to around 800C, the lustres change colour during firing and the enamel
and glass bond with the glaze, the kiln is left overnight to cool down.
Liquid bright gold is then applied to the enamel, each box is signed
by myself and then re-fired.
The individual design and processes
involved in decorating each box means each one is truly unique, making
them a very special item to treasure.
Matching tea light holder also available.

Please note the iridescence and shine on lustre makes it difficult to photograph.
